Entries for the 2023 Cairns 50 are now open to be held at Glenoma Park on Saturday and Sunday April 1 and 2. The 2023 event includes something for everyone in the family from 1k up to the 50k Ultra.
Saturday will feature the Family Fun Day with the Kids 1, Kids 2 and Family 5 events. All these fun runs are multi-lap courses starting from Glenoma Park so that friends and family can cheer on all the runners. The Saturday afternoon will also include jumping castles, face painting, food, drink and other activities to keep all the family entertained.
Along with the run events and the kids activities, the Saturday afternoon will see Cairns Endurance Expo run alongside check-in for the Sunday morning events. Cairns Endurance Expo will include stall holders from local and further afield featuring run products and apparel, local endurance sport events and much more!
Then Sunday morning will highlight some of Queensland and Australia's best ultra running talent in Far North Queensland's fastest ultra marathon - Cairns 50 Ultra. Cairns 50 is a 3 lap course which takes winds along Freshwater Creek taking in views of mountains, rainforest and cane fields. Cairns 30 and Cairns 10 will be run alongside the ultra event, both following 2 lap courses.
